The Old Town Square Market in the city centre from the beginning of December becomes a special place where you can feel the Christmas atmosphere. And when you come to this place on the last weekend before Christmas you can listen to carols sang by the children choirs and adults. Children dressed up as shepherds, angels, and folk costumes not only sing Christmas carols but also perform traditional dances of our region.
At that time you can try typical dishes served for Christmas Eve dinner, such as: dumplings stuffed with mushrooms and cabbage, mushroom soup, , borsch – beetroot soup with dumplings, fish in jelly and poppy-cake.

POLAND - Christmas at school

Each class had a very special lesson - class meeting with sharing Christmas wishes, singing Christmas songs, tasting delicious food prepared by parents. It was traditional Christmas Eve at school.

On Friday a group of carollers visited each class to present a little performance.

GREECE Carols from Macedonia
Crhistmas Carols from the Greek region of Macedonia. Macedonia is the upper northern part of Greece and home of Alexander the Great. We couldn't have him personally in the choir because he died on June 10th 323 BC...But..we have a small orchestra as you will see.

Silent Night - Tichá noc
Enjoy trandition coral in English and Slovak languages.
Tichá noc - Slovak words
Tichá noc, svätá noc.
Všetko spí, všetko sní.
Sám len svätý bdie
dôverný pár.
Stráži dieťatko nebeský dar.
Sladký Ježiško spí, sní.
Nebesky tíško spí, sní.

Traditional Christmas Carols from Greece
These are the crhistmas carols that we sing on the 24th of December, on Christmas Eve. Here in this video we had some help from Santa Clause himself, although he has made some changes on his appearance because he wants not to look more trendy, as he said! Santa Clause in Greece is called Saint Basil while in the majority of the West is St. Nicholas.

Merry Christmas from Kengyel, Hungary
Mary Christmas! = Boldog Karácsonyt!
Silent Night = Csendes Éj
Csendes éj! Szentséges éj!
Mindenek nyugta mély;
Nincs fenn más, csak a Szent szülepár,
Drága kisdedük álmainál,
Szent Fiú, aludjál, szent Fiú aludjál!

Nad Dzieciątka snem,
